special-protocols: Advanced Select
----------------------------------

You can use the Advanced Select protocol for a variety of purposes.
It can do the job of the Device Select protocol or the VPT Changer
protocol, or many other things.

On remotes with Home Theater, this protocol can change the Home
Theater device selections. That may be useful if you want to
dynamically select individual HT settings (such as selecting VCR
vs DVD for the transport device) while retaining other HT settings.
For older model HT remotes, this protocol can be used for a good
work around for the problem that HT settings aren't kept in EEPROM
(and thus are lost after each upload from IR.EXE). You can make a
key move for each of your HT settings, and one macro to execute all
those key moves. Once you've defined all that, it can be remembered
in your eeprom config file (so you don't need to define it again)
and allows you to restore all your HT settings with a single
keypress after each upload.

On remotes with Fav support, you can change the device that the fav
list is bound to.

On remotes (such as the URC7800) with dynamic transport punch
through, you can change the transport device selection.
